Facilities and Planning Administration
The Facilities and Planning Department manages and directs the planning, design, building, and maintenance of campus facilities and grounds under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Planning who reports directly to the Vice President of the University. In support of our mission to "create and maintain an appealing campus environment that contributes to attracting and retaining students, faculty and staff." our department provides a wide array of professional, construction, trade, skilled labor, and administrative services.

For emergencies, please call the work order center directly at (503) 725-8362. For after hours, access or emergencies, please contact Campus Public Safety at (503) 725-4404.
Requests for Public Information
Historical, Construction, Accounting, Health & Safety or Contractual Documents
When records are needed from the archive a formal request must be made to the FAP Records Specialist. Please submit the Archives Retrieval form in electronic or hard copy version, to Renee Bartley rbartley@pdx.edu with the following information:
- Building name (if applicable)
- Date range of the document
- Description of document, for example, key words FEMA Seismic Evaluation
- Any other pertinent details that may aid the Records Specialist in finding the document.
All requests for public information are subject to fees not to exceed the direct cost of retrieval, review and duplication of requested documents. Waiver of these fees is entirely at the discretion of Portland State University Facilities and Planning.
CAD Drawings, Floor Plans, and Maps
Before requesting Building Drawings or Maps, please refer to the Campus Floor Plans and Maps page on our website, where you will find current campus maps and detailed floor plans of all buildings in downloadable pdf format.
If you would like to request CAD drawings, Floor Plans or Maps that are more detailed or specific than those available online, please send a detailed description of your requirements to Larry Rinder rinderl@pdx.edu. Printing, electronic media and/or service fees apply.
If you are a professor requesting materials for academic purposes, be sure to specify how may copies are needed and whether your students are expected to contact Facilities and Planning directly for copies, so we can prepare in advance to meet your classroom needs.
