Custodial Services
Facilities and Planning provides for custodial and janitorial services to the University through contracts with specialized custodial and janitorial service providers.Custodial services provides: unlocking of specified buildings and non-hi-tech general pool/shared classrooms in the morning during the standard work week; vacuuming of carpets; sweeping and damp mopping of tiled and other hard surfaced floors; removal of trash; cleaning of classroom blackboards/erasers and resupply with chalk; dusting; disinfection and (throughout the day) product resupply in restrooms; spotting/shampooing/extraction of carpets and upholstery; stripping/refinishing or rewaxing of tiled floors; and emergency cleanup due to spills and floods.
Special services may be requested or oversights reported by employing the work order request system online or call the Work Order Center at 503-725-8362.
After hours custodial emergencies, please call: Campus Public Safety Office at 503-725-4404.
Cleaning Schedule
- Daily: Entrances, lobbies, corridors, stairs, classrooms, laboratories, study alcoves, lounges, restrooms, elevators, cafeterias, theaters, recreation areas and kitchens.
- Weekly: Offices.
Custodial & Janitorial Service providers:
- SBM Group provides custodial services for PSU campus buildings, EXCEPT: FAB, UCB, HGCD, housing and childcare.
- N&C Service provides janitorial services for SEH, BH, CIN, CECS Annex, OND-second floor only, and the President's Residence.
- R.J. & Company provides janitorial services for SMSU #126 - ASPSU Childcare Center and HGCDC.
