Shattuck Hall Physical Access Notes
1914 SW Park Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201

The comments on this building are taken in part from the 1991 Access Guide published by the Students with Disabilities Union. We thank them for allowing us to copy their material for this guide. It should be noted that many remodels and improvements have occurred in PSU building in the years since the 1991 Guide. So many of these comments may be some what antiquated. Please bear with us as we update and refine this access tool for our campus. Please send us an e-mail on anything you note that requires correction.

The entry into this building is located on the northwest side of the building. The floor pad outside the door will not operate the power assisted door; the button must be pressed to operate.

Drinking  Fountains:
First Floor: down the hall from the first floor entry.

Elevators:
There is an elevator located just down the hall from the entrance. This elevator provides access to the Computer Terminal Room located in Room 112 on the sub-level, and to the other floors. The elevator is equipped with Braille lettering placed alongside, and the buttons are easily reached. It should be noted that the "down" call button may stay depressed. In this case, be sure to pry it out if possible.
