The Millar Library was built in two major phases. Originally, the Skidmore, Ownings & Merrill designed the library as a rectangular structure oriented roughly north and south along the east side of 10th Avenue. In 1989 an addition that incorporates a convex wall of glass designed to surround, rather than replace, an ancient copper beech tree was attached to the eastern side. |
