Built: 2003 Floors: 6 Use: Student residential with classroom and office space on first floor. Stephen Epler Residence Hall is located in the University District's student housing neighborhood at SW 12th Avenue and Montgomery Street. Epler Hall is the first mixed-use (residential, classroom and office space). United States Green Building Council LEED Silver Certified building in Portland. Epler Hall was designed to benefit from the natural elements such as wind, rain, and sun by integrating new technologies with climate responsive design. This reduced the building’s overall reliance on energy consumptive mechanical and electrical systems. Building design highlights include:
